Pyromol 1 g

What is Pyromol? ? is a solution for infusion that contains the active substance acetaminophen. Each ampoule contains 1 g acetaminophen in 6.7 ml(150mg/ml).
Indications:
Postoperative pain management.
Fever control
Dosing:
The dose of medication and the duration of treatment should be determined by the physician. Ask your doctor if you want to know more about the dose of Pyromol you receive.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Pyromol can be safely prescribed for pain relief during pregnancy and lactation. Consult your doctor before taking medication during this period.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to acetaminophen or any component of the formulation; severe hepatic impairment or severe active liver disease.

Warnings and precautions:

Use with caution in liver and kidney dysfunctions.

Doses higher than the therapeutic dose may increase the risk of serious liver damage.

Use with caution in chronic alcoholism, chronic malnutrition or dehydration.

This medicine should not be mixed with other drugs.

overdose:

In case of accidental overdose, take the patient to the hospital. Antidote treatment should be started as soon as possible. Poisoning with this drug is dangerous especially for the elderly, children, patients with liver disease and patients who use enzyme inducers and can be fatal in this group.

Common symptoms of poisoning appear within 24 hours and include nausea, vomiting, anorexia, paleness and abdominal pain.

Interactions:

Drugs that induce hepatotoxicity and drugs that increase hepatic enzymes level.

Metoclopramide may increase the absorption of acetaminophen.

Concomitant use of probenecid may alter the serum concentration of acetaminophen.

Administration:

Pyromol should be diluted in 100 mL of sterile 0.9% Sodium Chloride, or 1/3 – 2/3 serum following proper aseptic technique, and administered to the patient by intravenous infusion. It is recommended to infusion the medication intravenously over at least 15 minutes.

There should be at least 4 hours between two consecutive injections.

The daily dose of pyromol should not exceed 4 grams.

Side effect:

Rare side effects of acetaminophen include thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis, hypotension, tachycardia, rash, and hypersensitivity reactions.

injection site reactions such as pain and burning sensation in the same area are common.

Storage:

Store below 25ֹ C.

Do not freeze.
