Leupromer 3.75 and 7.5 mg

What is Leupromer?
Leupromer is the brand name for leuprolide acetate, which is injected subcutaneously. Leuprolide is a GnRH agonist. This product is provided in two prefilled syringes. one containing a polymeric solution and the other containing the powder of Leuprolide acetate.
Indications:
Palliative treatment of advanced Prostate cancer, Breast cancer, Endometriosis, Fibroids and children’s Central Precocious Puberty.
Dosing:
The dose of medication and the duration of treatment should be determined by the physician. Ask your doctor if you want to know more about the dose of Leupromer Injection you receive.
This product is for monthly injection.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to leuprolide, GnRH, GnRH-agonist analogs, or any component of the formulation.
Warnings and precautions:
In the first two weeks of treatment, leupromer raises the hormone levels, this may worsen the symptoms of the disease. Consult with your doctor.
In women, this drug will stop the menstrual cycle after two months.
This medicine may affect the results of laboratory tests. Therefore, inform the laboratory and your doctor before performing the test.
Leupromer should be injected at regular intervals. If you miss a dose and the delay is less than two days (48 hours), you should inject the drug immediately. Otherwise consult with your doctor.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use is contraindicated during pregnancy.
It is not recommended to take this medicine during breastfeeding ,consult your doctor or pharmacist before using it.
Interaction:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines, supplements and herbal products or herbs.
Side effects:
Common side effects: Allergic reactions such as itching, hives, rash, rarely angioedema and anaphylactic shock, pain and swelling at the injection site, headache, seizures, fever, weakness and lethargy, nausea and vomiting, constipation, insomnia, increased sweating, Weight gain / loss, Mood change, Visual disturbances, Decreased glucose tolerance in diabetic patients and rarely thrombocytopenia and leukopenia, Decreased bone density in long-term use of this product.
In women: hot flashes, vaginal dryness, decreased libido, menstrual cramps, painful intercourse, acne, hirsutism, breast pain and tenderness, irregularity and increased menstrual bleeding following drug injection especially in the first menstrual cycle in patients with uterine fibroids.
In men: hot flashes, decreased libido, bone pain especially in the spine, urinary retention or blood in the urine in the first weeks of treatment, impotence, testicular atrophy, pain and swelling of the legs.
In children: vaginal bleeding in the first week of treatment in girls.

Storage:
Store at 2-8 ° C in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Never use distilled water or normal saline as an alternative solvent to prepare this medicine.
Do not massage the injection site.
The total time between preparation and the administration must not exceed 30 minutes, otherwise discard the drug.
